Airlines and destinations
The flights to Stockholm go 2-3 times per day, usually with a middle landing at Lycksele.
In the winter there are special flights from Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hanover and Munich, in Germany, about 2-3 flights per week. Close to these airports there are major German car producers, who perform lot of snow and cold temperature testing in the Arvidsjaur region.
The runway is longer than most in the northern interior of Sweden, and this allows international charter jet planes. This was a major reason why winter car testing was established in the region around Arvidsjaur, now an important part of the local economy.
